September 1, 1893—this was the historic day when Swami Vivekananda, with his fiery speech at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago, not only enhanced India’s glory but also introduced the entire world to the power of Indian spirituality, tolerance, and culture. His address, which began with “My brothers and sisters of America…,” continues to fill people’s hearts with energy and enthusiasm even today.
To mark the 125th anniversary of this historic occasion, a grand bike rally was organized under the banner of “Anjani Putra Sena.” The rally commenced after the worship and garlanding of Swami Ji’s statue at Howrah Maidan and proceeded to Belur Math. This event was not just a symbol of tribute but also an inspiring effort to connect the youth with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

Early in the morning at Howrah Maidan, a large number of Anjani Putra Sena workers and youth gathered to participate in the rally. The entire atmosphere resonated with patriotism and energy as saffron flags adorned the bikes, images of Vivekananda ji were proudly displayed, and chants of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai” filled the air.
The rally culminated at Belur Math, the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission founded by Swami Vivekananda. Here, participants engaged in meditation and listened to a brief discourse based on Swami Vivekananda’s ideals. The sanyasis (monks) of Belur Math explained the significance of Swami Ji’s life and philosophy to the participating youth, inspiring them towards social service and self-building.
